Robert Soussa, Managing Partner, Business Development

Robert is a business school graduate from HEC Montreal at the University of Montreal. He has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having previously worked for Nortel Networks and then joining Datavalet shortly after its inception in the late 90s. He has successfully contributed to the business' growth of the years through a variety of strategic roles.

Robert started as Business Development Manager and moved to VP Operations in 2008 where he focused on optimizing the company's processes and policies. He was named Executive Vice-President in 2011, overseeing corporate strategy including product vision, commercial mission and cultural identity. He was promoted to President of Datavalet in August 2013 where he led the company to new heights and aspirations. Robert largely continues in a similar role today as Managing Partner of Business Development, leading sales, business development, product development and HR.

Toby Chang, Managing Partner, Operations & Technology

Toby holds a B.A.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) from University of Waterloo and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD. He has more than a decade of experience in operations and general management in service and technology environments.

Toby was previously a Director at Decision Resources Group, a leading health information business owned by Providence Equity Partners. As a senior leader of the medical technologies subsidiary, Toby led teams of over 100 staff, and guided the restructuring of global research operations. Thereafter, he lived in Asia to work with his family business, a global luxury menswear tailor and retailer. Prior to joining Datavalet, Toby was a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Alpine Growth Partners, a private investment firm focused on small- to medium-sized businesses in North America. He leads the operations and technology teams at Datavalet as Managing Partner of Operations & Technology.

Daniel Forest, CPA, CA, Managing Partner, Finance & Corporate Strategy

Daniel holds a B.Com (Major in Finance) from McGill University, an MBA from INSEAD and is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA). He has over a decade of experience in private equity, business development and audit & assurance services with private investment groups and professional services firms.

Daniel earned his Chartered Accountant designation while working with KPMG and PwC. Thereafter, he was an Associate and later a Director at BMO Capital Partners, a leading mid-market junior capital firm and subsidiary of BMO Financial Group, where he transacted in small and middle-market companies across North America. While at BMO, he invested in over a dozen transactions in companies in technology and services, media & communications, healthcare, food & beverage, waste management and automotive retail. Prior to joining Datavalet, Daniel was a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Alpine Growth Partners, a private investment firm focused on small- to medium-sized businesses in North America. Daniel leads the finance team, strategic partnerships, marketing and corporate development as Managing Partner of Finance & Corporate Strategy.

Jean-Claude Homet, CPA-CA, VP Finances

Jean-Claude graduated from the UQAM School of Management in 1991 and received his CA (Chartered Accountant) title in 1993. He is a member of the CPA with more than 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit and management in different industries. Before joining Datavalet in 2009, Jean-Claude worked for KPMG as an auditor, then for a national retailer first as VP of Finances and then as President.

He has held different functions at Datavalet in Finance, Administration, Operations and Human Resources getting to know the fast growing business from different points-of-view. His entrepreneurial experience and people skills are a great asset to our management team.

Ryan Ferguson, VP of Research & Development

Ryan manages all aspects of product development and technology planning. He brings over 15 years of experience in numerous information technology roles ranging from IT operations to software development primarily at a large telecommunications provider.

He joined Datavalet in 2010. In 2011 Ryan was promoted to Director of Technology and in 2012 expanded his executive-level responsibilities to Vice President of R&D.
